The Valley City Parks and Recreation Foundation has been established to promote the mission of the Valley City Parks and Recreation District:
The mission of Valley City Parks and Recreation is to promote broad based parks and recreation opportunities in order to improve the quality of life for people of all ages, stages and abilities in a cost-effective and financially responsible manner.

The Valley City Parks and Recreation Foundation is collecting gently used or new snow gear, sleds, shoes, and sports equipment now through November 20th!

All donated items will be featured at our Play It Forward Open House on November 22nd at the Gaukler Family Wellness Center, where the community can browse and “pay what you can.”
​
Every dollar raised from this event supports the VCPR Foundation Scholarship Program, helping make recreation accessible for everyone in our community.
​
The idea behind this event is simple — to give your old gear a new game. By donating what you no longer use, you’re helping others in our community stay active, warm, and involved this winter.
​
Items can be dropped off in the blue barrel in the lobby of the Gaukler Family Wellness Center.

Parents of Scholarship Recipient
"As their parents, we appreciate what the foundation scholarship has done for their physical and social wellbeing. The Wellness Center has given them a safe and positive place to work out and be part of the community."
Our goals
Provide scholarships for youth programs and activities
Offer reduced memberships for individuals that qualify
Contribute to the conservation of natural resources and green spaces in the community
Drive capital campaigns for projects such as new playgrounds, equipment, and amenities to enhance and update recreation opportunity
Ways to Contribute:
We are accepting monetary donations at this time. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and will benefit those in our community that may need financial help for youth programs and Gaukler Family Wellness Center memberships.
