Since 1985, the United States has celebrated July as National Park & Recreation month. A program of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), the goal is to raise awareness of the vital impact the parks, recreation and conservation have on communities across the U.S.
This July, Valley City Park District and the National Recreation & Park Association are celebrating GAME ON. Celebrate the fun and games that local parks and recreation offer with a variety of fun activities planned for residents of all ages and abilities. NRPA also encourages everyone that support parks and recreation to share something new they’ve discovered with the hashtag #GameOnJuly.
