The mission of the Valley City Parks and Recreation District is:

to promote broad based parks and recreation opportunities in order to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Valley City and its visitors in a cost-effective and financially responsible manner.
to increase and enhance the recreational opportunities for all ages, stages and abilities.
to increase public awareness as to the benefits of, and participation in Parks and Recreation.
to promote professionalism in the delivery of parks and recreation services.
